36 frames, or as Tiemen called it, “Sisterhood of the Traveling Camera”, is about the space between two people who photograph—about decision-making, presence, and negotiation. The camera is loaded with one roll of film, chosen together by the two involved. Throughout the session, both individuals equally influence the creation of an image.

Each frame captures a trace of an encounter, yet not all remain. Some are kept, others removed, leaving behind a sequence shaped by both choice and absence. What emerges is not a fixed document, but a record of a moment spent together—something in between documentation and dialogue. The gaps invite the audience to imagine what was left unseen, making them part of the conversation.

(Ilford Ilfocolor 400 plus Vintage Tone, FujiFilm 400 Film for Color Prints) with Filters by URTH.
